I think the last is most depressing. I'm already ready worried about the next job-hunt. (Although I know accepted and forthcoming is usually enough, even that can take a good while).

No problem at all! Indeed, accepted and forthcoming are usually good enough so the long wait between acceptance and publication shouldn't harm chances too badly. That said, it is important to be mindful that a six month wait is particularly short: you should normally expect to wait at least 12-15 months in most cases.
