Ok it is overreactive. But on the other hand how much disrespect do you absorb before you snap? If you were conversing with someone who yawned loudly during the exchange, would you not be insulted? Or checked Facebook while you were talking? Generally students do understand the basics of public decorum--but there is a definite increase of those who simply treat you as professor as if you were a mere avatar on a video screen. And they--not this poor guy who snapped--need to get the message.
